The quarry represents one of highest sites (450 m a.s.l.) of the surf facies of Lower Badenian, Miocene in the Moravian Karst. Conglomerates and breccia are composed of local material (Culmian silty shale, limestone),abundant traces of boring activities, macrofauna of Molluscs (Ostrea digitalina (DUBUIS 1831). The cavities filled with Badenian sediments are eroded in Upper Devonian thick bedded limestone of the Macocha formation. | Otava, Jiří | 2005
